Wrangler +
R&M has a very high demand for lessons as we enter the fall season. We will not be able to accommodate all riders and have been looking for creative ways specifically to enable our junior wranglers to keep their skills current and continue to qualify for the 2024 camp season that will occur next summer.
Beginning in October we will offer a program titled Wrangler + (wrangler plus). Each session will be 1 ½ hour in length. Focus will be ½ hour of ground work, including tacking, lunging, and learning how to read and understand an equitation pattern. Following our time on the ground, wranglers will be in the saddle riding foundational patterns and concentrating on centered riding while performing at the walk, trot and canter.
Dates for this program have been determined and include the following options. Riders will be enrolled on a first come first served basis.
October 14 9:00 am - 10:30 am
11:00 am - 12:30 pm
October 21 9:00 am - 10:30 am
11:00 am - 12:30 pm
November 4 9:00 am - 10:30 am
11:00 am - 12:30 pm
November 11 9:00 am - 10:30 am
11:00 am - 12:30 pm
December 2 9:00 am - 10:30 am
11:00 am - 12:30 pm
This program is open to any wranglers who have served at R&M Stables regardless if they have been involved during the summer of 2023. Many have asked if they can re-apply in 2024 if they were not active this summer due to travel plans etc.
Each session will be limited to 4 riders to ensure high quality instruction. This program will be offered again during the winter and spring of 2024 for those who don’t have the opportunity to ride this fall. In order to be considered for a junior wrangler position in 2024 - riders must complete at least five of these sessions between now and next May, or be enrolled in the lesson program at R&M beginning fall of this season or spring of 2024.
Cost per session: $100 per rider
Payment is due at time of sign-up by cash, check or venmo
