All of the horses and ponies at R&M Stables have different jobs that they do at the farm. Each rider has a unique bond with the horse and participates in continuing education events and for the horse and rider. Some horses have competed and have become national champions in their disciplines.
Caballo 10 year old Quarter Horse
Caballo was the individual obstacle champion at the Service Horse School, sponsored by the Walking Horse Owner’s Association held in Franklin, TN June 15-19. In addition, he won the dual tandem obstacle competition, ridden by Jason Parizek, who partnered with Ron Chlasta riding Trooper at this event. Caballo is ridden in our unit by Crystal Parizek. |
Geronimo 7 year old Tennessee Walking Horse
In 2016, Geronimo was the national champion in the dual obstacle competition at the 32nd annual National Police Colloquium, held in Lexington, KY. In addition, he was the individual obstacle champion at the Tennessee State Fair in August 2016. He took top honors at the 2014 International Service Horse Competition held on August 2, 2014 at the Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, TN. Ridden by Jason Parizek, he won overall horse/rider, individual obstacles, and partnered with Ron Chlasta riding Trooper to capture the tandem obstacle event. In 2014, Geronimo was the tandem obstacle champion at the Franklin Police Mounted Patrol Clinic held at the Williamson County Expo Center in Franklin, TN. He was ridden by Jason Parizek, who partnered with Ron Chlasta riding Trooper. Geronimo is owned by Sean Roach, and is ridden in our unit by Jason Parizek. |
Trooper 12 year old Tennessee Walking Horse
In 2016, Trooper defended his national title in tandem obstacles at the 32nd Annual National Police Colloquium in Lexington.. He was the national champion in the tandem obstacles, at the 31st Annual National Police Colloquium, held at the Kentucky Horse Park, Alltech Arena in Lexington Kentucky. He was ridden by Ron Chlasta, who partnered with Doug Wyatt of Murphy, North Carolina. Additionally, Trooper came in 2nd place in the Combined Obstacle and Equitation Event ridden by Ron Chlasta, who partnered with Lawrence Beal, National Director of the County Mounties from Murphy, North Carolina. At the Walking Horse Owner’s Association Service Horse School held at the Williamson County Expo Center in Franklin, TN June 15 – 19, 2015, Trooper placed 1st in tandem obstacles; he was ridden by Ron Chlasta, who partnered with Jason Parizek riding Caballo. Trooper was 2nd in individual obstacles, ridden by Ron Chlasta. On August 2, 2014, Trooper, ridden by Ron Chlasta, was the individual obstacle and tandem obstacle champion at the Franklin Police Mounted Patrol Clinic, held at the Williamson County Expo Center in Franklin, TN. Trooper partnered with Jason Parizek riding Geronimo to win the tandem obstacles. At the Walking Horse Owner’s Association International Service Horse Competition, held at the Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, TN on August 2, 2014, Trooper (ridden by Ron Chlasta) was 2nd in individual obstacles, and 1st in Tandem obstacles, partnered with Jason Parizek riding Geronimo. Hazel 5 year old Kentucky Mountain Saddle horse
Hazel is new to the County Mounties this year. She will begin her training as a service horse this spring. This past winter Hazel participated in a service horse clinic taught by JD Harber at R&M Stables. Hazel is ridden in our unit by Mary Chlasta Hawkeye 5 year old Rocky Mountain Saddle Horse
Hawkeye is a 5 year old Rocky Mountain Saddle Horse owned and ridden by Sean Roach. Sean owns Sean Roach CPA in Hendersonville, TN. He has been active in the County Mounties for two years. While many would consider the job of a CPA to be stuck behind a desk all day - Sean concurs: "I can ride a mean desk, run a calculator with no eyes, but more importantly ride for 30 miles on a hard saddle and not cry". Actually Sean is an accomplished rider and has been through several training clinics conducted by Lawrence Beal - National Director of the County Mounties.
