Looking for that perfect ‘staycation’ while schools are out during fall break? Look no further. R&M will offer pony camp October 2-5 where your young ‘cowpokes’ can unleash their inner cowboy/cowgirl spirit while spending time on the ranch. This experience will be a continuation of our summer pony camp curriculum and guarantee to allow children to have plenty of saddle time during our action packed days.
Who: Children age 6-12
When: October 2-4 from 8am until 12 noon
Where: R&M Stables 1060 Goshentown road Hendersonville
Why: to enable students to continue developing skills they developed during the summer camp sessions. Also to enable those who were not able to attend a summer camp session to participate in our pony camp experience.
What: (to expect) - Cowpokes arrive at the ranch each morning at 8 a.m. We will conduct a round pen talk ( parents are welcome to stay and watch) where we go over our learning goals and safety checks on each particular day. Cowpokes will groom and tack up their pony/horse with their group and prepare to ride. The majority of our time is spent in the saddle each day. At the end of the morning we untack and turn out our horses and ponies. Cowpokes can expect to play arena games that reinforce learning goals each day.
Enrollment is on a first come first served basis. Cost for the camp is $300 per camper.
To enroll you may call Ron Chlasta at 615-712-3513. Payment can be made by cash, check, or venmo.
A welcome packet with information will be sent to cowpokes who are enrolled one week prior to fall break camp.
