Clinics:

Drill Team/Formation Riding:
  • Saturday, September 22
  • 9:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m.
  • Cost $60/rider
This is an advanced riding clinic for students to learn and perform maneuvers used by drill teams all over the country. Drill teams are intended to entertain audiences, show sportsmanship, horsemanship, teamwork, and dedication. This clinic will be taught and led by Coach Casady, and her friend and former rodeo drill team captain, Dennise Sanders. Space is limited for this clinic due to the availability of horses, and nature of the clinic. (8 students MAX, 4 ponies, 4 horses) We will begin the day with a brief introduction to the sport, followed by a demonstration. After the demonstration is complete, we will saddle up and practice! At 11:00, we will take a 30 minute lunch break, and finish with a simple choreographed routine.

Horse Ownership & Stable Management Clinic:
  • Saturday, October 20
  • 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
  • Cost $40/Family
This clinic is intended to give students and families a realistic idea of responsibilities associated with horse ownership. Our goal is to equip our R&M families with the right tools and information so that they are prepared for the responsibilities that come with owning a horse. The four main topics we will cover during the clinic include: Choosing the Right Horse and Tack, Equine Diet & Health, Housing a Horse, Cost of Ownership. We will also have two exciting opportunities for students to talk to our Veterinarian and Farrier while they demonstrate their services at the barn.

Junior Rodeo Clinic:
  • Saturday, November 17
  • 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
  • Cost $80/Rider
This is our most exciting clinic yet! Come join us in learning the ins and outs of youth rodeo. This Clinic is designed to teach the participants each of the rodeo events associated with the Middle Tennessee Junior Rodeo Association. The events we will cover include Dummy Roping, Live Goat Ribbon Pulling, Live Goat Tying, Barrel Racing, and Pole Bending. Come out and see if you have what it takes to Rodeo!! For more information about the youth rodeo events visit middletnjrrodeo.com. This is not a MTJRA sanction event, we are merely using their events as a modeling guide.
